Volunteers

TUTS has always depended on the hard work and dedication of our team of volunteers! Each season, over 200 volunteers contribute their time, energy, and skills to make our season a great success! We require energetic, committed volunteers to help in the front of house: ushering, taking tickets, greeting, and working the coffee bar and bar.

We also recruit for our backstage crew, who work in costuming, lighting, sound, set, and props for the run of the shows. Backstage crewmembers are required to attend rehearsals in the later half of June, as well as 50% of performances of the show to which they are assigned (every other night in July and August).

Perks of volunteering include complimentary tickets to a TUTS production, a closing night company party, a certificate of recognition, letters of reference, and crediting of hours towards the CAPP secondary school diploma requirement.

The application process opens in the spring prior to each season. The application form can be downloaded here. All volunteers are invited to attend a Volunteer Orientation Information Session prior to the season. All volunteers will need to attend a Volunteer Training Session for hands-on training and a tour of the site prior to the start of the season.

All inquiries can be directed to the Volunteer Coordinator via the TUTS administrative line at 604-734-1917 or via email at volunteers@tuts.ca.
