Theatre Under the Stars is looking to engage professional Directors, Choreographers, and Music Directors for our artistic creative teams for our 2024 summer productions. While the titles cannot be distributed publicly, the 2024 productions will be CATS and School of Rock. We welcome applications from professional artists who are interested in working with us in any of these capacities.

Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) is a not for profit society that entertains families through popular musical theatre shows while providing a vibrant outlet and training ground to develop amateur performers and technicians both young and old. TUTS values an atmosphere of inclusion and mentorship in order to build strong character and to promote positive values.

Our Creative Teams (Directors, Choreographers, and Music Directors) will bring their extensive professional experience to the musical theatre productions in Malkin Bowl at Stanley Park. We ask for interested artists to submit a resume (including a portfolio, if available) and letter of interest by May 26, 2023 using the form below. Our Creative Advisory Committee (which includes our General Manager, Production Manager, Board members, and community members) will review the applications and contact eligible candidates for interviews. Applicants who were interviewed for the 2022 and 2023 Creative Teams are encouraged to apply, but may not be required to interview again this year; all applicants under consideration will be contacted soon after the application deadline.

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Statement: Theatre Under the Stars encourages submissions from artists of all backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. When hiring creative teams, we seek artistic leadership that (1) reflects the rich diversity of the performing arts community in Vancouver, BC and Canada, and (2) advocates for inclusion and representation in all aspects of the production process.
