Theatre Under the Stars is looking to engage professional Directors, Choreographers, and Music Directors for our artistic creative teams for our 2026 summer productions. Our 2026 productions will be Sister Act and Disney’s The Little Mermaid. We welcome applications from professional artists who are interested in working with us in any of these capacities.
Our Creative Teams (Directors, Choreographers, and Music Directors) will bring their extensive professional experience to the musical theatre productions in Malkin Bowl at Stanley Park. We ask for interested artists to submit a resume (including a portfolio, if available) and letter of interest by March 3, 2025 to the following online form: https://www.tuts.ca/2026-creative-team-application/. Our Creative Advisory Committee (which includes our General Manager, Production Manager, and Board members) will review the applications and contact eligible candidates for interviews. Applicants who were interviewed for Creative Team positions since 2022 are encouraged to apply, but may not be required to interview again; all applicants under consideration will be contacted soon after the application deadline.
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Statement: Theatre Under the Stars encourages submissions from artists of all backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. When hiring creative teams, we seek artistic leadership that (1) reflects the diversity of the performing arts community in Vancouver, BC and Canada, and (2) advocates for inclusion and representation in all aspects of the production process.
