DIRECTOR – Jayme Armstrong

Jayme is thrilled to return to her hometown and one of her favorite companies after an extensive career spanning North America. Selected directing: Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Broadway Showstoppers (Drayton Entertainment), Annie (Storybook Theatre), Nine (Theatre Sheridan). Selected performance: Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Adrian in Rocky: The Musical, Linda in Holiday Inn, Janet in The Drowsy Chaperone, Sherrie in Rock of Ages, The 39 Steps, Lina in Singin’ in the Rain, Reno in Anything Goes, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Betty in White Christmas, Marian in The Music Man, Roxie in Chicago, Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Fantine in Les Misérables, Elle in Legally Blonde, Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins (Drayton Entertainment), Maria in The Sound of Music (Drayton Entertainment and Persephone Theatre, SATA Award for Outstanding Performance), Belle in Beauty and the Beast (Theatre Aquarius), Ulla in The Producers (Stage West), Oliver! and South Pacific (Stratford Festival), Guinevere in Camelot (North American Tour), and Judy in the Hollywood production of Ruthless! The Musical (LA Weekly Award for Outstanding Performance). Jayme received the 2020 Rogers Woman of the Year Award for Arts and Culture for her artistic and charitable contributions and holds a Master in Arts and Cultural Management.

CHOREOGRAPHER – Lyndsey Britten

Lyndsey Britten (she/her) is a Chinese-Canadian choreographer, dance educator, and musical theatre performer residing in Toronto, ON. Born and raised in Vancouver, she trained in all styles and disciplines with Caulfield School of Dance. 

Select Choreography credits include: SpongeBob the Musical (St. Lawrence College); Fame (Randolph College); Don Giovanni (UBC Opera); Matilda (Mainstage Theatre); Urinetown (Lawyer Show); and Cabaret (Tomo Suru Players) where she won the 2018 CTC Award for Best Choreographer. Lyndsey was also the resident choreographer at her former high school Gleneagle Secondary for nine years prior to moving to Toronto. Select Associate/Assistant Choreography credits include: The Full Monty (Neptune Theatre); Jersey Boys, Once (Thousand Islands Playhouse); Newsies (TUTS); The Adventures of Pinocchio (YPT); Grease (Chemainus Theatre); 42nd Street, and Urinetown (Studio 58). Lyndsey has spent the last couple years working with worldwide top talent as a Dance Supervisor for Disney Cruise Lines.

This past summer, Lyndsey returned to the stage as a performer for the Charlottetown Theatre Festival in both Anne of Green Gables and Jersey Boys. She is ecstatic to be finally returning to TUTS this year!

MUSIC DIRECTOR – Eliza De Castro


Eliza De Castro (she/her) is a music director, vocal coach, and performer, originally hailing from Brisbane, Australia. Eliza has been a music educator for the past 10 years, and has a strong enthusiasm for mentoring young performers and emerging artists from all backgrounds and abilities. Prior to moving to Vancouver, she led the Queensland chapter of the Australian Girls Choir and travelled with the not-for-profit organisation ‘Girls from Oz’ to deliver performing arts programs to children in remoted Indigenous communities around Australia. She is currently the Music and Voice Director at the Vancouver Performing Stars.
