DIRECTOR – Tracey Power

Tracey works nationally and internationally as an actor, writer, director and choreographer. Most recently she directed/choreographed The Prom for Theatre Under The Stars in Vancouver, and Created/Directed Rock The Canyon for The Mayfield Theatre in Edmonton. She also directs Hey Viola! for MTW, Chelsea Hotel, The Songs of Leonard Cohen which premiered with the Firehall Arts Centre and continues to tour across the countryELF: The Musical! for WCT, Singin’ in the Rain for Chemainus Theatre, and is the writer/choreographer of GLORY.  She is the recipient of the Jessie, Sterling, and Betty Awardswww.traceypower.ca

CHOREOGRAPHER – Matthew Rossoff

Matthew Rossoff (he/him) Absolutely thrilled to be back at TUTS where it all began! Selected Director/Choreographer credits: MEAN GIRLS, SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL, INTO THE WOODS (Bravo Academy), FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Associate, Drayton Entertainment), MY HERO & BROADWAY UNDER THE STARS (Transcendence Theatre Company, CA). Selected Choreographer credits: SOMETHING ROTTEN and THE LIGHTNING THIEF (Bravo), PROM QUEEN (Associate, The Grand), HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL (Associate, Paper Mill Playhouse), NYE WITH PHISH (Associate, Madison Square Garden). Matthew’s selected performance career spans from Broadway (JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR), Off-Broadway (ZORBA, THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS), The Stratford Festival (CAMELOT, JCS), National Tours (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF), Drayton Entertainment, Transcendence Theatre Company (Zach, A CHORUS LINE – B’way World SF nomination), Theatre Rusticle (Flute/Thisbe, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM – Dora Mavor Moore nomination) and TUTS! (South Pacific and Joseph, 2000-02). Matthew is a Designated Kristin Linklater Voice Teacher and teaches Voice and Speech at Toronto Metropolitan University. He is the creator of @bodypresenceworkshop. Matthew holds an MFA in Performance from York University. Enjoy the show!

MUSIC DIRECTOR – Eliza De Castro


Eliza De Castro (she/her) is a music director, performer, and creative originally hailing from Brisbane, Australia. 

Eliza has been a music educator for the past 10 years, and has a strong enthusiasm for mentoring young performers and emerging artists. Prior to moving to Vancouver, Eliza led the Queensland chapter of the Australian Girls Choir and travelled with the not-for-profit organisation ‘Girls from Oz’ to deliver performing arts programs to children in remote Indigenous communities around Australia. She is currently the music director of the year-long musical theatre programs at both Vancouver Performing Stars and CTORA Academy, 

Her most recent music directing credits include The Prom (Music Directing Fellow – Theatre Under the Stars), The Little Mermaid (CTORA Academy), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Vancouver Performing Stars), Spring Awakening (Millennial Productions), and Heathers: The Musical (Millennial Productions). 

Eliza is beyond excited to be re-joining the TUTS’ team for the 2024 season, and she can’t wait to rock and roll in the Malkin Bowl!
