Musical Theatre Summer Camps 2017

Do you know a talented child or youth performer who wants to hone her/his skills?

Join us this summer for our extremely popular Musical Theatre Day Camps. Learn to sing, dance and act on the same stage as the Theatre Under the Stars performers!

This program is directed by Kimberly Page, along with other experienced musical theatre instructors. Registration fees include camp t-shirt, materials AND 3 tickets to the TUTS mainstage show that falls on the same night as the end-of-camp showcase.

For Ages 8 - 12 years

For Ages 13 – 18 years

This one week intensive camp includes training in singing, dance and acting designed for the younger performer. Drama games, group singing and harmonizing, movement and dance will culminate in a showcase performance.

This one week intensive camp is designed for the older student with emphasis on all aspects of musical theatre, including dance, vocal performance, acting and performance skills. Camp concludes with a showcase performance.

KIMBERLY PAGE (Summer Camp Director/Instructor)
Kimberly Page (TUTS Summer Camp Director) has directed over a dozen musicals with children, including Hairspray, Bye Bye Birdie, Sweeney Todd, Thoroughly Modern Millie, West Side Story, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Annie, Oklahoma, Guys & Dolls and Beauty and the Beast. She has taught voice, musical theatre and acting for many schools in the Lower Mainland area. Kim is a graduate in Theatre from Douglas College and has been singing for over 27 years. Kim continues to be on the stage as well, performing with local theatre companies (Theatre Under The Stars, Uncle Randy Productions, Gateway Theatre and Royal City Musical Theatre), most recently playing the Wicked Witch in Footlight Theatre's The Wizard of Oz. Kim's greatest role to date is that of "mama" to baby Sam! 

A TUTS history note about Kim: she has won a whopping FOUR awards for her performances on the TUTS stage: she was the recipient of the E.V.Young Award in 1993 and 2007, and the Aida Broadbent Award in 2000 and 2005.
